Kindermusik, one of the most widely recognized early childhood music and movement programs, offers classes structured around singing, games, movement to music and listening activities for young children (and their parents).
Kindermusik Our Time®, for children 1½ - 3 years of age, promotes joyful participation in making music with others and encourages the building of characteristics related to successful learning in school – self-confidence, curiosity, self-expression, social skills and cooperation.
Our Time brings together 12 children, each with a parent or caregiver, for weekly 45-minute classes of singing, chanting, listening, moving, dancing and simple instrument playing. Exploring nurtures your child's self-esteem and facilitates her discovery of textures and sounds. Language skills are fostered with singing, sound imitation, rhyming and object identification. Creative dancing to different musical "moods" develops your child's sense of balance, timing and spacial awareness while affirming her urge to move. The anticipation and rewards of listening are introduced, and with turn-taking activities, social skills begin to blossom.
Kindermusik Imagine That!®, for children 3 to 5 years of age, is a musical journey of discovery and exploration limited only by the power of imagination.
You take home specially designed Kindermusik At Home materials to extend the Kindermusik experience all week long. At Home materials for Imagine That! include two CDs, two illustrated literature books, an interactive play set, a family activity book, a specially designed instrument and a colorful child-sized backpack.
Using a small-group approach to music education, Kindermusik for the Young Child provides a pressure-free class where your child can develop a strong musical foundation by learning the concepts, language, notation, and vocabulary of music and its greatest composers. The program is designed to prepare the young child who is eager for first experiences with musical symbols and instrument discovery but is not yet ready for formal lessons and traditional music reading with an instrument. Parents or caregivers are encouraged to attend the last 10-15 minutes of class.
Bringing children of all ages togetherprovides a dynamic and integrated learning experience for everyone. So we took favorite Kindermusik songs and activities like “Shake, Shake the Apple Tree” and “hammocking” and rolled them into a fun, family class where each child is welcomed and valued and family “together time” is celebrated and cherished.Creatures at the Ocean (Family) - Experience pretend play and musical activities that will last all summer long! Stimulate creative play and learning while your family plays with beach balls and kites, sings and wiggles toes in sand, dances the sailor’s hornpipe, listens to the sounds of whales and dolphins. All these activities will travel perfectly to the beach with you…whether your trip is real or pretend!
